Lintel replacement

A building showing signs of lintel displacement

Any large opening, like a doorway or entrance that has the weight of a floor or walls above it still needs to provide the structural strength to carry the load. This is achieved with lintels, large structural horizontal beams over these openings and are often made of reinforced concrete or mild steel and are sufficient to provide structural strength.

Like many other concrete or steel structures, over time they can become susceptible to degradation due to concrete cancer. When this happens, replacement needs to happen sooner rather than later to avoid the risk of needing additional repairs.

When dealing with structural components of a building, the building needs to be supported while the lintel is removed and replaced. The contractors at Andersal have the knowledge and experience to ensure the structure is maintained through all works.
